Living in the middle of the mountains and forests, weaving and embroidering are the daily tasks of Pa Then ethnic village girls. From a very young age, girls are introduced to stripping flax, making thread, etc. Before reaching the age of marriage, the mountain girls are very good at weaving, dyeing, and decorating patterns for scarves and shirts. From rough flax and cotton fibers, with skillful hands, working diligently day and night at the loom, the mountain girls weave elaborate, elegant, and beautiful brocades. Also making thread, dyeing, weaving fabric, etc., but with their own cultural identity, each ethnic group has a unique style and formula to create shapes, colors, and patterns for brocades. The Dao ethnic group likes to wear bright red clothes. The Tay ethnic group likes to create dark diamond patterns on a white background. Mong ethnic girls often weave light pink fabric mixed with blue and purple to make pretty costumes... As for the Pa Then ethnic group, no one knows since when, weaving brocade, sewing bibs, embroidering scarves,... have become familiar work, a passion of the mountain girls.
