Russia uses special weapons to pressure besieged Ukrainian troops in Novopavlovsky.

Russian forces completed the extermination of Ukrainian troops surrounded "in the pocket" of Novopavlovsky using Solntsepyok heavy flamethrowers; the end in Mirnograd is very near.

The Russian Army's Central Group is completing the elimination of a besieged Ukrainian force in a small area just east of the town of Novopavlivka in the western Dnipropetrovsk province, near the border with Donetsk province. The Russian Armed Forces (RFAF) gained control of the town in mid-November.

Now, the remaining task for the Russian forces is to dislodge the remaining Ukrainian troops entrenched in plantations and fields near Novopavlivka. Despite its modest size, Novopavlivka is considered an important logistical center for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the western part of Dnipropetrovsk province and the eastern part of Donetsk province.
15-3786.jpg
For this reason, the AFU built a system of concrete fortifications and combat positions in the town, an area that had been overrun by Russian forces. On either side of Novopavlovka were the villages of Ivanovka and Novonikolayevka, which were already under Russian control. Previously, Russian units had advanced into Novopavlovka from the direction of Dachnoye and Filiya, which were also under full RFAF control.

Just north of Novopavlovka lies the village of Mezhevaya, considered a key target that the RFAF must control. The reason is simple: once the Russians capture this village, they will have extensive access deep into the AFU's defenses there.

Furthermore, Mezhevaya was not just a railway station, but also a crucial fortified area where Ukrainian troops received supplies. However, various RFAF firepowers, including the TOS Solntsepyok heavy flamethrowers, left no chance for the Ukrainian forces trapped in the area.

Meanwhile, the situation on the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd front is nearing its end. According to the Readovka channel, the RFAF Central Group has broken the stalemate in the Mirnograd urban area, launching a series of decisive attacks, pushing the trapped Ukrainian soldiers into a "no-way" situation.
7.jpg
Specifically, the final phase of the Ukrainian defenses in the Mirnograd urban area, near the city of Pokrovsk, is approaching, as Russian forces had previously forced the enemy to retreat and concentrate in the north of the city. Now, Russian assault troops have divided the area into two smaller rings, establishing fighting along the network of lakes and ponds within the city, near the Tsentralnaya coal mine area.
8-504.jpg
Thus, Ukrainian troops are concentrating in a group of apartment buildings named Molodezhny, Svetly, and Vostochny. The western siege zone is formed, following this division which occupies almost the entire industrial area, as well as the residential areas of Bryanka, Vesyoliy, and Novator.
9-762.jpg
Dividing the large encirclement into smaller zones significantly reduces the fighting capacity of the defending Ukrainian forces, as the AFU units are cut off from several supply depots. However, experience from past conflicts shows that when a group of troops is surrounded, the entire logistical system is strangled by the Russian forces.
10.jpg
It should also be noted that small groups of Ukrainian infantry are attempting to retreat northwest from Mirnograd via the village of Svitloe. However, Russian assault troops are holding them back. According to some sources, the last time the AFU successfully moved its forces from the village of Gryshyne into Myrnohrad was in early December. However, any attempts to break the siege are now proving impossible.
11-3716.jpg
This was not an option because any concentration of infantry outside of the cover would be immediately detected, and a breakthrough would risk heavy losses. Nevertheless, the AFU General Staff could hardly sit idly by under bombardment until the fighting capacity of the trapped soldiers was completely exhausted.
12.jpg
Most likely, when the siege of Mirnograd reaches its limit, the AFU will attempt a full-scale counterattack, and such a breakthrough could occur very soon. This is reinforced by the increased AFU activity north of Pokrovsk. They continue to deploy small infantry groups from the village of Gryshyne. This is intended to provide cover for their comrades attempting to escape Mirnograd.
13-8194.jpg
According to the UARU channel, alongside capturing Seversk, the RFAF continues to push Ukrainian forces stationed in Mirnograd into a very difficult situation. Over the past day, the situation for the AFU has become even more complicated, and it can be said that the units there are in critical condition and their fate is practically sealed. Moreover, this will happen in the very near future.
14-7871.jpg
After the 51st RFAF Army Group advanced to a key point in the enemy's defensive line near the central mine complex from the south and northeast of Myrnohrad, the AFU attempted a nighttime retreat. At least some of the troops broke through (with casualties) the Svetloe settlement and returned to their base.
4.jpg
This forced the remaining troops in the city to drastically reduce their defensive perimeter. As of the morning of December 14th, the AFU was gradually withdrawing from the eastern part of the city and concentrating between the Svetloe settlement and the central mine. Currently, logistical support relies on combat supplies or a small amount of transport by heavy UAVs.

The AFU General Staff has not yet ordered a withdrawal of defending troops from the city, but the nature of the regrouping suggests that from the night of December 12th, the remaining Ukrainian troops may have attempted to break through the encirclement and retreat to the rear, leaving behind wounded soldiers and heavy weapons.
