The reason is that Tu San Agricultural and Service Cooperative (the only unit with boats to take tourists on the Nho Que River) has not yet agreed on a temporary management plan for inland waterway transport activities serving tourists within the Nho Que 1 hydroelectric reservoir, and has not signed or renewed a passenger transport contract with Nho Que 1 Joint Stock Company.
Therefore, during this time, visitors will not be able to take a boat on the Nho Que River to see Tu San Canyon - one of the most majestic and romantic scenes in the Northwest.
Boats take tourists on the Nho Que River, in Meo Vac District, Ha Giang . From September 16, these boats have temporarily stopped operating. Previously, there were two boat docks taking tourists to experience the river: One is in Ta Lang village, the other is in Xin Cai commune.
This journey takes about 2 hours, ticket price is 120,000 VND/person/way
Nho Que River flows into Vietnam from Seo Lung village, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van, passes through Tu San canyon and runs along Ma Pi Leng pass. At Meo Vac, the water splits and flows east - southeast into Cao Bang , finally pouring into Gam river.
The emerald green color of the stream flowing between the hills makes Nho Que a must-see scenic spot for tourists when coming to the Ha Giang stone plateau.
Tu San is considered the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, with a depth of about 700 - 800m and a length of nearly 2km. From the top of Ma Pi Leng Pass, visitors can admire the unique majesty of this canyon.
In 2009, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked the Ma Pi Leng Pass and Tu San Gorge as a Vietnam scenic relic; the Nho Que River was honored as one of the unique Tectonic Valleys of Vietnam.

Highland children play on the Nho Que River. Along the riverbank, in many sections, people make bamboo rafts so that tourists can sightsee and take pictures.
Cruising on the Nho Que River has long been a popular tour for domestic and foreign tourists. Many foreign tourists board boats and swim on the emerald green river...
Responding to the press on September 16, the People's Committee of Meo Vac district said that the locality had issued a document approving Tu San Agricultural and Service Cooperative to continue transporting tourists until the end of 2023. However, this unit did not continue to operate. On the same day, the district worked with relevant parties, but could not find a solution, so tourists could not visit Nho Que River at this time.
