Wormwood

Ngai Thau Thuong is located precariously on the top of Ma Cha Va (Ngai Thau commune), known as the highest village in Vietnam with an altitude of 2,300m above sea level. At this altitude, the village is like a fairyland, immersed in floating clouds all year round. The landscape of Ngai Thau Thuong is very pristine, with a magical beauty when the terraced fields in the ripe rice season are covered in a golden color. The fields in Thien Sinh and Then Pa valleys seem to stretch out, sparkling with golden color every harvest season. The Mong village here still retains many traditional cultural features: simple rammed earth houses, colorful brocade costumes and the sound of the Khen calling friends. Recently, the road to Ngai Thau Thuong has been concreted, making it easier for tourists to conquer this "village in the clouds".
The Devil's Sieve

Sang Ma Sao is a highland commune of Bat Xat district, located about 50km from the district center, hidden at the foot of the majestic Hoang Lien Son range. In the Mong language, "Sang Ma Sao" means "Chicken's Crest Mountain". Sang Ma Sao's terrain is strongly divided with many deep valleys and overlapping hills. One of the highlights is Nhiu Co San peak at 2,965m high, which has been ranked as a provincial scenic spot. From this peak, visitors can see the terraced fields stretching like a silk strip around the simple earthen houses of the Dao and Mong people. In addition to rice fields, Sang Ma Sao people take advantage of the cool climate to grow cardamom all year round, contributing to the livelihood and unique landscape of the village.
The Pa Valley
The Pa Valley in Y Ty Commune is a vast terraced field valley winding between high mountains. The Pa terraced field complex has a total area of 233.1 hectares and was ranked as a National Scenic Monument in 2015. This is a “great creative work” of the Mong and Ha Nhi people, who have built each terraced field to turn the wild hills into picturesque landscapes.
The landscape of The Pa changes with the seasons: The flood season (May - June) makes the rice fields look like giant mirrors reflecting the clouds and sky; when the rice ripens, the whole valley is dyed a brilliant yellow. Besides the majestic natural scenery, The Pa also preserves the forest worship festival "Ga Ma Do" of the Ha Nhi people (early January of the lunar calendar), with the ritual of praying for a bountiful harvest. The combination of natural beauty and traditional culture has turned The Pa valley into an attractive destination for tourists who love to explore .
