The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from yesterday evening to early this morning, the weather in the North and North Central regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, and very heavy rain in some places. Rainfall in the North will be from 20-50mm, with some places over 100mm. The North Central region will have from 30-70mm, with some places over 150mm.

Today, on Thao River, Lo River, small rivers in the North and Thanh Hoa, there is a possibility of flooding, the flood amplitude on the rivers is from 2-4m. During this flood, the flood peak on small rivers, upstream rivers is likely to reach alert level 1 and above alert level 1. The water level downstream of large rivers is still below alert level 1.

High risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in mountainous areas of the North and Thanh Hoa.

In the Central and South Central regions, the Central Highlands, and the South, there will be moderate rain, with some places experiencing heavy to very heavy rain. Rain will be concentrated in the late afternoon and at night.

Regarding sea weather, the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Da Nang to Ca Mau , Ca Mau to Kien Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the East Sea area (including Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos) has thunderstorms.

The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the west of the southern East Sea (including the west of Truong Sa archipelago ) has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Waves are 1-2m high, rough seas.
