Thousands of people respectfully offer incense at the Hung King Temple in Ca Mau

On the morning of April 18 (March 10 of the lunar calendar), thousands of people in Ca Mau and neighboring provinces came to the Hung Kings Temple (located on Highway 63, Giao Khau Hamlet, Tan Phu Commune, Thoi Binh District, Ca Mau) to burn incense in memory of the Hung Kings who built the country.

Thousands of people from many places flocked to the Hung King Temple in Tan Phu Commune, Thoi Binh District, Ca Mau Province.

This is an occasion for people to show their respect to King Hung and their ancestors who built the country, praying for a year of favorable weather, bountiful crops, and a prosperous and happy life for the people.

At the ceremony, people offered offerings such as Chung cake, Day cake, flowers, and fruits symbolizing heaven and earth, expressing gratitude to their ancestors and roots.

Leaders of Ca Mau province offered incense to commemorate the contributions of the Hung Kings who founded the country.

Speaking at the ceremony to pay tribute to the Hung Kings, Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that during the difficult, challenging, arduous and sacrificial process of building and defending the country, our people have achieved many glorious feats, fostering a tradition of ardent patriotism, indomitable spirit, and the will to be independent, self-reliant and self-reliant.

“Before the heroic spirits of the Hung Kings, we vow to continue the Dragon Fairy tradition, promote the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance and self-strengthening; strive to cultivate virtue, train talent, and unite to overcome all difficulties.

"Promoting intelligence and combined strength, focusing on leadership with a more determined spirit, more innovation, and building urban and rural areas of Ca Mau to become more civilized and modern," Mr. Viet shared.

King Hung Temple in Giao Khau Hamlet shows the respect of people in the land at the end of the Fatherland.

Mr. Huu Viet Tam (residing in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province) shared: "Every year, on the occasion of Hung King's death anniversary, my family and I always arrive early to attend and burn incense to commemorate the merits of those who built the country."

According to Mr. Tran Hieu Hung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province: "The Hung King's National Death Anniversary is an occasion for the ethnic groups in Vietnam to remind each other of patriotism, solidarity, love, and help each other in the sense of compatriots, that is, like blood brothers born from the same womb.

That is also the day we understand more deeply Uncle Ho's advice: "The Hung Kings built the country. We, uncle and nephew, must work together to protect the country," Mr. Tran Hieu Hung emphasized.

Hung King Temple in Giao Khau Hamlet, Tan Phu Commune, Thoi Binh District, Ca Mau Province was recognized as a Provincial Cultural - Historical Relic in 2011, located on National Highway 63 from Ca Mau - Kien Giang .

Over the past 150 years, this temple has become increasingly known for its devotion.

Every year, on the Hung King's death anniversary (the 10th day of the third lunar month), thousands of people come here to offer incense in memory of King Hung for his contributions to building the country.
