What majors will the Journalism and Communications industry recruit in 2025?

At the Diplomatic Academy, candidates are allowed to use the C00 block combination (Literature, History, Geography) if they want to apply for admission to the Journalism - Communication major.

The Academy's International Communication Department has 460 targets for 2025 and recruits up to 12 groups including: Literature, History, Geography; Math, Physics, Chemistry; Math, Physics, English; Math, Literature, English; Math, Literature, French; Math, Literature, Chinese; Math, Literature, Japanese; Math, Chemistry, English; Math, History, English; Math, Geography, English; Literature, History, English; Literature, Geography, English.

At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, for the Journalism major, the school still considers the C00 group (Literature, History, Geography) in addition to the D01 and A01 groups.

Admission target is 2,650 candidates (an increase of 365 compared to 2024: 2,300 targets). The school is expected to open new majors in Multimedia Communications and Human Resource Management.

In 2025, Hoa Binh University, Multimedia Communications major will recruit 4 groups of block C: Literature, History, Geography; Literature, Math, Geography; Literature, Physics, Math and Literature, Math, Economic and Legal Education.

In addition, the school also recruits D01 (Literature, Math, English), D14 (Literature, History, English) and TH9 (Literature, English, IT).

This year, the Academy of Journalism and Communication officially removed the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam and Transcript Review method; added some new combinations with IT subjects.

In 2025, the Academy of Journalism and Communication will recruit 2,050 students according to 4 admission methods: direct admission and priority admission; review of academic records; combined admission; admission based on high school graduation exam results.

The school divides training programs into many groups.

Group 1 with Journalism and Publishing majors, admission is based on 4 groups: Literature - English - Math; Literature - English - Economic and Legal Education; Literature - English - Informatics; Literature - English - History. Literature is calculated with a coefficient of 2.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication also has requirements for candidates’ appearance. For example, candidates applying for the political theory lecturer training program must not have a lisp or stutter. Or candidates applying for the TV filming program must be in good health and not have eye defects. The minimum height is 1.58m for women and 1.62m for men.

In 2024, with the graduation exam score review method, the Academy of Journalism and Communication has two standard score scales of 30 and 40.

On a 30-point scale, Multimedia Communications has the highest score of 28.25 points in the C15 group (Literature, Mathematics and Social Sciences). Mass Communications has the second highest score of 28.05 points in the C15 group (Literature, Mathematics and Social Sciences). The remaining groups and majors generally score between 25 and 26 points.
