Work overtime on Saturday and Sunday
By the end of November 2024, the tax, fee and charge collection of Dak R'lap - Tuy Duc Regional Tax Department was 181/123 billion VND, reaching 147%, an increase of 34% over the same period. Although the current revenue of the unit is high, the unit is not negligent.

To achieve the highest revenue, contributing to increasing budget revenue, the unit is focusing on implementing many solutions. According to Mr. Thai Huu Nghi, Head of the Dak R'lap - Tuy Duc Regional Tax Department, determining that tax and fee collection plays an important role in the total state budget revenue, the unit is increasing all resources to focus on collection.
Since the beginning of November 2024, many civil servants of the branch have been working on Saturdays and Sundays. The unit has stepped up the review and determination of the full tax amount of each tax-paying unit. On that basis, the tax authority urges timely tax payment to the State budget.

In addition to tax collection, the department has increased tax inspections and audits to detect and prevent tax fraud. During the inspections and audits, the tax authorities have combined with the inspection of invoice usage at many businesses.
VAT refund inspection and risk classification of tax declaration documents at tax authority headquarters and taxpayer headquarters are also being promoted.

“We also strengthen the interdisciplinary team to fight against revenue loss. In high-risk areas with high revenue loss, the interdisciplinary team will be strengthened. From here, tax collection will be improved even more,” said Mr. Thai Huu Nghi.
Strengthening anti-loss measures
The work of collecting taxes, fees and charges in 2024 is extremely difficult. To strive to reach the target of more than 2,213 billion VND, the Tax sector is focusing on many solutions.
According to the Director of Dak Nong Provincial Tax Department, Tran Van Long, the Tax sector is focusing on many solutions to increase revenue. One of these is to strengthen the establishment of anti-revenue loss teams from the province to the grassroots level. In addition to the province's interdisciplinary anti-revenue loss team, in each branch, interdisciplinary teams are actively operating.

High tax risk areas such as minerals, construction materials, basic construction, transportation business, business households, etc. will be focused on by the groups to prevent revenue loss.
Regarding tax debt collection, the Tax sector is determined to minimize tax arrears to the lowest level. Tax authorities strictly handle cases of deliberately delaying tax arrears according to regulations. In addition to preventing revenue loss, the field of land collection is currently being promoted by local tax authorities.

“We are strengthening the management of land-related expenses. In particular, we are accelerating the collection of land use fees, resettlement land that has not been paid, and land with changed use purposes,” said Mr. Long.
Tax authorities will strengthen the review of activities that lease land but do not put it into use. Cases of improper use, use without a land lease contract, etc. will also be closely monitored by the entire industry.
To boost revenue, many tax agencies work on Saturdays and Sundays. The Tax Department continues to focus on implementing policies on tax exemption, reduction, and extension of tax and land rent payment deadlines for taxpayers.
Through support programs, businesses and people will gradually restore production and business activities, creating momentum for economic growth.
By the end of October 2024, the total State budget revenue in Dak Nong was VND 2,435 billion, reaching 86.6% of the Central budget estimate and 77% of the Provincial People's Council's estimate, up 7.1% over the same period. Of which, the revenue from Tax, fees and other revenues managed by the Tax authority was VND 1,972 billion, reaching 89.1% of the estimate, up 5% over the same period in 2023.
