In 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism focused on investing, preserving, exploiting and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values in the province. Mechanisms and policies in the field of cultural heritage continued to be improved, creating a legal corridor and improving state management capacity in the field of cultural heritage.

In particular, the 2024 Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival with the participation of 16 provinces and cities nationwide; the 2024 Peace Festival on a national and international scale was successfully organized. The province's sports teams participated in 35 national and international sports tournaments, winning a total of 103 medals of all kinds.

Promotion, promotion, tourism information, digital transformation in tourism and tourism development cooperation and linkage activities are focused. The total number of tourists to Quang Tri reached more than 3 million. Social revenue reached 2,400 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam requested the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to organize well propaganda, cultural, sports and tourism activities to serve political tasks, celebrate major holidays and important events of the province and the country in 2025. Focus on reviewing and accelerating the implementation of the sector's targets assigned from the beginning of the 17th Provincial Party Congress term.

Promote decentralization and delegation of authority in the field of cultural heritage. Focus on planning historical and cultural relics, national relics, especially associated with tourism development. In particular, the industry needs to focus on consulting on the contents of the task of building the project of the Museum "Memories of War and Aspiration for Peace" in Quang Tri.

Guide and direct districts, towns and cities to successfully organize sports festivals at all levels towards the 9th Quang Tri Provincial Sports Festival. Research and propose strategies for tourism promotion, brand building and orientation for tourism development in Quang Tri in the coming time.
