COVID-19 situation in Vietnam

Total number of cured cases: 10,637,138 cases

2. The number of patients on oxygen is 50, of which oxygen is given via mask: 41; high flow oxygen HFNC: 6; non-invasive ventilation: 1; invasive ventilation: 2; ECMO: 0.

3. Number of deaths:

There were 0 deaths recorded on the day.

Average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days: 1 case.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

Total deaths ranked 26th/231 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st/231 countries and territories in the world .

Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th/50 (ranked 3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranks 29th/50 countries and territories in Asia (ranked 5th in ASEAN).

COVID-19 vaccination status

On May 25, 1,961 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were injected.

Thus, the total number of vaccine doses injected is 266,403,148 doses, of which the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over is 223,735,960 doses: 70,909,134 doses for the first dose; 68,455,611 doses for the second dose; 14,344,115 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,131,688 doses for the first booster dose; 17,895,412 doses for the second booster dose.

The number of doses for children aged 12-17 is 23,965,543 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,366 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,288 doses.

The number of doses for children aged 5-11 is 18,701,645 doses: 10,227,624 doses for the first dose; 8,474,021 doses for the second dose.
