Festival of more than 1.3 million children in Hanoi

The Hanoi City Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress honored 390 delegates, representing more than 1.3 million children in the capital.

The 15th "Good Children of Uncle Ho - Owners of Thang Long" Congress took place at the Hanoi Children's Palace on March 27 and 28, gathering 390 delegates representing more than 1.3 million team members, teenagers and children in the capital.

The congress has become an unforgettable festival for children in the capital.

Hanoi Youth Union and Hanoi City Young Pioneers Council honored 80 outstanding children in the movements of the capital's young generation.

The children's delegates reported their achievements to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, visited the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum, played folk games, viewed the exhibition "I love Vietnam", and raised awareness of the capital's traditions.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, more than 1.3 million team members, teenagers and children in Hanoi left outstanding marks with more than 500 youth projects, affirming the role of "Thang Long Owners" in studying, training and contributing.

The children have contributed to building a children's playground in Phuc Loi ward, Long Bien (Hanoi), contributing to the construction and restoration of Kim Dong relic site, and building 3 'red scarf houses' for children in difficult circumstances in Cao Bang .

In addition, the movement "Young soldiers build bright - green - clean - beautiful schools" attracted thousands of participants. Children in the capital participated in everything from cleaning classrooms to supporting poor friends.

The highlight of the congress was the ceremony to honor 80 outstanding delegates in the art exchange program. These are outstanding faces in studying, working in the Youth Union and cultural and sports movements.

Bui Minh Quan, class 4A6, Thanh Cong B Primary School, Ba Dinh was honored for his excellent student achievements for 4 consecutive years, winning the first prize in "Vietnamese Language Champion" at the district level and the Gold medal at the 2023-2024 International TIMO Thailand Mathematics Olympiad.

Le Ha Minh Anh, class 3A7, Phu Dien Primary School, Bac Tu Liem moved people with his determination to overcome leukemia, winning first prize in the "Vietnamese Language Contest" at the city level despite spending half a year in the hospital.

Nguyen Quang Anh, class 5A6, Nam Trung Yen Primary School, Cau Giay won 2 gold medals in U9 chess at the Northern Championship and a gold medal in U10 rapid chess team in Kazakhstan, demonstrating the spirit of reaching out to the international community.

Pham Tuan Phong, class 4A2, Dong La Primary School, Hoai Duc, was recognized for donating more than 10 million VND to support friends in difficulty, receiving a certificate of "Good people, good deeds" at the City level, demonstrating the typical kindness of children in the capital.

Commit to compete in studying and practicing Uncle Ho's 5 teachings

Delegates approved the resolution letter, expressing gratitude to leaders, teachers, and Youth Union and Young Pioneer leaders who have supported Hanoi children to achieve achievements over the past 5 years.

The Capital's children are committed to implementing the regulations, Team rituals and the new phase of training team members. They are determined to study, practice and follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, become good children, good students, good team members, and aim to become members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. At the same time, they actively participate in children's work and help their friends become team members.
