Responding to the "Red Journey" Program in 2023, a large number of cadres, workers, civil servants, union members, youth and people of Cao Bang province participated in voluntary blood donation.
On June 24, 2023, at the Provincial Convention Center, the Central Red Journey Organizing Committee and the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) of Cao Bang province jointly organized the blood donation festival "Red Drops of the Mountainous Region", responding to the Red Journey Program 2023 - Honoring Outstanding Blood Donors of Cao Bang Province in 2023.
The program was attended by Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Donation of Blood Donation in Cao Bang Province; Mr. Vuong Van Thuan, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Donation of Blood Donation, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial Red Cross Society; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Deputy Director of the National Blood Center, National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion; leaders of a number of departments, branches, members of the Steering Committee for Donation of Blood Donation in the province, sponsors and volunteers.
This is the 8th time Cao Bang province has organized the Red Journey with the theme "Red drops of the mountains and rivers", bringing many achievements and profound values to blood donation activities in Cao Bang province, overcoming the blood shortage in the summer.
The goal of the blood donation festival is to promote communication to localities across the province, contributing to raising awareness of all classes of people in the province about blood donation and expanding the target group of blood donation participants beyond union members, youth and students, especially people in rural areas about blood donation and blood transfusion safety.
Speaking at the festival, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Deputy Director of the National Blood Center, National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, acknowledged the positive developments in the voluntary blood donation movement in Cao Bang province when bringing blood donation to localities and units, gradually expanding the number of blood donors.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 05 collectives and 03 individuals and the Provincial Steering Committee for Donation of Children awarded Certificates of Merit to 22 collectives, 02 families and 38 individuals with achievements in propaganda and mobilization of Donation of Children in the period of 2022-2023, honoring and praising collectives, individuals and families who participated in Donation of Children many times.
