Patient Trinh Thi Tuyet, 53 years old ( Quang Ninh ), is being treated for ovarian cancer at Internal Medicine Department 1, K Hospital, said that she has 30 years of experience standing on the podium.

"During the days of treatment, I observed that many days, the doctors and nurses had lunch as dinner... because of the consultation hours and surgeries, they forgot to eat and sleep. Witnessing this every day during treatment, I was always grateful and sympathetic to the doctors and medical staff of the hospital.

Receiving congratulations on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, we were very touched by the attention of the hospital leaders. This is not only a material gift but also shows sharing, understanding, and respect for those who work in the teaching profession like us, but more importantly, it is a companion when we are in the most difficult period," Ms. Tuyet shared.

The case of teacher Bui Thi Minh Trang, 35 years old (Hai Phong) is very special. She discovered she had nasopharyngeal cancer when she was 22 weeks pregnant and gave birth at 35 weeks.

Just 10 days after giving birth, she received her first dose of chemotherapy at K Hospital. She has devoted 12 years of teaching preschool children, and now has to leave her two young girls and one premature baby boy to go to K Hospital for treatment.

“Today, receiving the attention of the hospital and fellow patients, I tell myself to try my best to treat and return home soon to my child, who just turned one month old a few days ago. I wish to hold my child as a support for my three children. I also miss the days of teaching, going to class, and going to work every day with my colleagues. I still hope that one day soon...", Ms. Trang shared.

Prof. Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, said that in recent years, the Board of Directors of K Hospital has always focused on the work of gratitude through practical actions.

"This is also an opportunity to educate the younger generation, cadres, doctors, and medical staff of K Hospital about the nation's traditions; it is a motivation for generations of teachers in the hospital to strive to cultivate, practice, and study continuously to always be a shining example for young doctors to follow," Associate Professor Quang shared.
