Recruiting more than 780 teachers and school staff
This is the first recruitment of teachers for preschool, primary and secondary schools chaired by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training in the 2025-2026 school year. The recruitment aims to ensure that the team of teachers and educational staff is sufficient in number and structure, meeting the requirements of improving the quality of education in the province.
Accordingly, in this period, Nghe An Department of Education and Training recruits 780 positions, including 198 positions for preschool level, 249 positions for primary level and 284 positions for secondary level.

Specifically, for primary school level, out of 249 quotas, the Department of Education and Training recruits 134 cultural teachers, 74 English teachers, 20 IT teachers, 12 physical education teachers, 6 music teachers and 3 art teachers.
For 284 secondary school quotas, the Department will recruit 39 math teachers; 37 literature teachers, 53 natural science teachers (including 20 physics teachers, 17 chemistry teachers, 16 biology teachers), 30 history and geography teachers (including 17 history teachers, 13 geography teachers), 8 civic education teachers, 4 technology teachers, 50 English teachers, 29 information technology teachers, 14 physical education teachers, 12 music teachers, and 8 fine arts teachers.
In this period, the Department recruited 49 staff positions in schools. Of which, intermediate accountants (18), intermediate clerks (8), class IV librarians (7), equipment and laboratory staff (8), school health workers (6), and education workers (2).
To participate in recruitment, candidates must have a diploma or certificate according to the standards of the job position, be in good health and meet the specific requirements according to the structure and quota approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Cases of loss of civil capacity, being prosecuted for criminal liability or serving a sentence are not allowed to register for recruitment.
Recruitment conditions and criteria
Nghe An Department of Education and Training also clearly stated the conditions, criteria, and methods of recruiting teachers and school staff.
The recruitment is organized in the form of two rounds: Examination of conditions and standards (round 1) and oral examination of professional knowledge and skills (round 2), on a scale of 100. Candidates who score 50 points or more and have a higher total score (including priority points) in order of quota will be determined to be admitted. In case of equal scores, the higher professional level will be considered, then the achievement of excellent students at the provincial level or higher in the subject of the recruitment.
In this round, candidates belonging to priority categories according to regulations will have points added to the results of round 2, including: Armed Forces heroes, war invalids (7.5 points); ethnic minorities, demobilized officers, children of martyrs... (5 points); people who have completed military service, police, youth volunteers (2.5 points); union officials who have grown up from the grassroots (1.5 points). If a candidate belongs to many priority categories, only the highest level will be counted.
For positions that still have quotas after recruitment and contract recruitment according to Decree 06/2018/ND-CP, the Council will consider recruiting people with the next lower results in equivalent positions. Recruitment results will not be reserved for the next term.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An also divided the communes and wards into 3 recruitment regions. Region 1 includes the wards of the old Vinh city. Region 3 includes the communes of the 6 mountainous districts of Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong (old). Recruited officials commit to working for at least 3 years for men and 2 years for women at the recruited unit.
Region 2 includes the remaining wards and communes (except Region 1 and Region 3). Successfully recruited officials commit to work for at least 3 years for men and 2 years for women at the recruited unit, except in the case of transfer to Region 3.
Previously, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision 3235/QD-UBND to assign more than 43,000 civil servant positions to educational institutions in 2025, allocated based on the number of students and the number of existing civil servants. After being assigned the task of mobilizing, rotating and recruiting teachers according to the 2-level local government model, the Department of Education and Training requested all schools to review and report recruitment needs. According to initial statistics, many schools have a need to recruit 5-10 teachers. According to the plan of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the first round of recruitment is expected to be completed before January 20, 2026.
