Nghe An guides some contents on organizing the State funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee guides the implementation of regulations on flag hanging and some other regulations related to the organization of the State funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

On July 22, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Document No. 6137/UBND-VX to provincial departments, branches; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns regarding the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Accordingly, based on the Announcement of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on organizing the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (2 days: July 25 and 26, 2024), the Provincial People's Committee requests provincial departments, branches, and sectors, People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns to implement a number of contents as follows:

Agencies, offices, and public places in the province will fly flags at half-mast during the two days of national mourning for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (July 25 and 26, 2024).

The half-mast flag is the National Flag, with a mourning ribbon (1/10 the size of the flag's width, the length of the flag and only hung to 2/3 the height of the flagpole, tied with a black cloth ribbon to prevent the flag from flying).

Provincial departments, branches, sectors, and units; People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns direct and guide the suspension and postponement of art programs, cultural and sports events, and public entertainment activities in the province during the two days of National Mourning./.
