Nghe An rewards over 1.4 billion VND to 75 students with high scores in high school graduation exams

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee will spend more than 1.4 billion VND to reward 75 students with high scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

On the afternoon of August 19, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the People's Committee of Nghe An province has decided to award certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee along with bonuses to 75 students with high scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam.

The 75 awarded students were divided into groups consisting of students who achieved a total score of 33 to 38.75 points in the subject groups.

This is the first year that rewards for Nghe An students are carried out according to new regulations due to changes in the high school graduation exam implemented according to the 2018 general education program.

Each student will receive 8 times the basic salary (2.34 million VND), equivalent to 18,720,000 VND/student.

The total amount of money the children received in prizes was more than 1.4 billion VND.

In the list of students with high scores this year, there are many students from village schools and disadvantaged schools.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nghe An is the province with the highest average score in the country with 52.92 points.

Previously, Nghe An also decided to reward 133 teachers and students who won prizes in the national excellent student competition; 20 teachers and students who won prizes in competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training . The total prize money is more than 2.6 billion VND.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Nghe An has 96 students winning prizes in the national excellent student competition, the largest number ever, including 9 first prizes, 29 second prizes, 37 third prizes and 21 consolation prizes. All teachers and students are from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

The ceremony to honor students who won international and national prizes and achieved high scores in the 2025 high school graduation exam in Nghe An province is expected to take place on the evening of August 24.
