The program includes excerpts, traditional and modern songs with the participation of many artists loved by the audience, to serve the audience who love Cai Luong near and far with the guidance of MC Huu Luan. The program has opened a meeting place for the audience who love traditional Cai Luong.
In 2009 - 2010, "Artist and Soulmate" had a format change with the name "Couple of actors with good chemistry" with excerpts or memorable roles of artist couples loved by the audience such as Minh Vuong - Le Thuy, Chau Thanh - Phuong Hang, Trong Huu - Cam Tien, Thanh Tuan - Thanh Kim Hue,...
In 2015 - 2016, "Artists and Soulmates" became closer to the audience when it was held in a district or town in Long An province every month. Along with that, the audience had the opportunity to interact with the artists on stage through a song by their favorite artist in the program. This was the period when the program received enthusiastic support from the audience.
In 2018 - 2021, due to financial conditions, "Artists and Soulmates" changed its format to re-recording and rebroadcasting, no longer broadcasting live as in previous years. The broadcast time also changed periodically at 9:00 p.m. on the 4th Monday of the month. The program still retains its original identity, the audience will still enjoy vọng cổ songs and unique and attractive cải lương excerpts.

In 2022, “Artists and Soulmates” will enter a new milestone with a larger and more spectacular organization format, held every quarter. Broadcast number 168 will begin this journey on September 1, 2022 at the Long An Cai Luong Art Troupe with the theme “Long An, Motherland”. After that, the program will travel to many places such as Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Tan Tru to get closer to the audience.

This is the first program to be carried out by the name Long An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, a new name after the merger of the two agencies. The program took place at 8:00 p.m. on April 30, 2025 at Tan Tru District Park and was broadcast live on LA34 channel, broadcast live on FM 96.9Mhz, livestream on baolongan.vn, Youtube page and fanpage LONG AN TV.
