But the news that Hai Long is moving to SV Werder Bremen is just an April Fool's Day joke (April 1st or also known as "Lies Day").

After Hai Long scored in Vietnam's 5-0 victory over Laos in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, Werder Bremen sent their congratulations to the "Golden Star Warriors" and jokingly asked about the possibility of borrowing the midfielder from Quang Ninh from Hanoi FC.
