According to Tech4Gamers , despite achieving impressive sales and being 'sold out' since its launch, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D recently made users panic when it continued to 'burn' literally, causing the gaming community to worry about the quality of this high-end CPU line.

High performance comes with overheating risk of AMD CPUs?

Specifically, recently a Reddit user named ' TrumpPooPoosPants ' posted a picture of his burned Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU and MSI Tomahawk X870 motherboard, along with a complaint about this unwanted incident.

The incident immediately caused a stir in the online community, because this is not the first time AMD CPUs have encountered a similar situation. Previously, the predecessor Ryzen 7 7800X3D - once known as AMD's best gaming CPU - was also reported to have temperature problems and caught fire when it was first released.

The exact cause of the problem is still unknown. Many believe that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is repeating the problem of the 7800X3D, while others suspect that this user installed it incorrectly or had a problem with the motherboard.

Popular tech YouTube channel Gamers Nexus has now reached out to users who experienced the problem to buy back the burned CPU and motherboard, in order to conduct an independent investigation and clarify the cause.

This incident once again warns about the quality of computer hardware, as well as the choice of high-performance components that can face overheating problems. Users should be careful when choosing and installing components, and should also follow the investigation results from Gamers Nexus to have an objective view of Ryzen 7 9800X3D and this incident.
