On the evening of June 4, Tuoi Tre Online reporters went to the house of Mr. LQN (40 years old) in My Xuyen town, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province.
Mr. N. said that this morning, the authorities invited him to work from 9am and finished around 12pm. "They were supposed to invite me to the province, but they knew I was sick so they asked me to work in My Xuyen town to be closer to home," Mr. N. said.
Provided sufficient documents to the authorities
Mr. N. said that at the meeting, he was asked many questions. Mr. N. also provided relevant documents and evidence. "I have answered the authorities about what I posted online, I have provided. I think that is enough," Mr. N. said.
According to Mr. N., at the meeting, the authorities also asked him if he was "retaliating" to vent his anger because the company terminated his contract.
"I have been reflecting for a long time, from lower levels to the highest leaders, but they are slow to respond. It was not until April 28, 2025 that the company officially responded. I was very disappointed with the inspection results. Because I did not want the truth to be covered up, affecting people's health, I spoke up. I did so not for any personal gain," Mr. N. shared.
Tuoi Tre Online reporter asked: There is public opinion that you were once supported by the Joint Stock Company for kidney treatment, now you "accuse" it, should you? Mr. N. laughed: "There is no such thing, they do not support. The health check-up fee for each company employee is about 20 million VND/year, I have never received it even once."
A friend encouraged to remove the post
Mr. N. said that in the past few days, he has received a lot of encouragement and sympathy from friends and people. Many people have also expressed their support and help to cover his medical expenses.
"I really appreciate everyone's kindness. I have been on dialysis for 7 years now, 3 times a week. Each dialysis session lasts about 3.5 hours.
When I was on dialysis, I realized that there were many people in more pitiful situations than me, who needed help. I knew my health was weak, so I told myself to be optimistic, but I was very sad and tired. If anything happened, my son was only 8 years old, without a mother, and I was afraid that he would be alone in the world, so I had to try every day, selling duct tape to make a living, the two of us took care of each other," Mr. N. confided.
Mr. N. said that there were also strangers who called, offered to help, asked him to ignore it and accept the support money. "I thank you, but as I said, I do this not for personal gain, I hope everyone understands," Mr. N. said.
He said a friend of his also called, suggesting that he remove the post on social media, introducing him to the company to talk, but he refused. After that, this friend continued to call Mr. N.. Once again, this friend mentioned removing the post and said "between me and my girlfriend, we are friends, I will take care of the medical treatment, this money is mine".
Before parting, Mr. N. said he was not feeling well and did not want to argue anymore. What needed to be said had been reflected. "The content I posted has been initially answered. Now I want to rest to treat my illness and take care of my child. Let the authorities clarify everything," Mr. N. explained.
