On the morning of June 7, the price of SJC gold bars was reduced by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies to 114.9 million VND/tael for buying and 117.2 million VND/tael for selling - a decrease of 800,000 VND compared to the end of yesterday.
The price of SJC gold bars and 24K gold rings was also bought by companies at 111.2 million VND/tael, sold at 113.5 million VND/tael - down 800,000 VND.
Currently, both gold bars and gold rings are at their lowest levels in the past few days. However, the price of gold bars is still 3.7 million VND/tael higher than that of 99.99 gold rings.
Domestic gold prices have fluctuated continuously in recent days, following the dizzying rise and fall of world gold prices.
At the end of the week, the world gold price stopped at 3,311 USD/ounce, down 50 USD/ounce compared to the previous session (equivalent to a decrease of 1.6 million VND/tael).
SJC gold bar price drops again
The latest US economic data showing higher-than-expected job numbers has helped US stocks rally strongly, prompting investors to pour capital into stocks, contributing to a drop in gold prices today.
Meanwhile, news that the US and China will resume trade negotiations has raised hopes of a possible reduction in tariff tensions.
The USD index (DXY) on the international market increased again, surpassing 99.2 points, also putting downward pressure on gold prices.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 104.6 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars by over 12 million VND/tael.
