Journalist Ha Dang (Dang Ha), 96 years old this year, was born on July 15, 1929, from Binh Kien, Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen . He is a member of the Party Central Committee, term VI, VII, National Assembly Delegate, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, term VIII, IX. He was also Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper (1987-1992), Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee (1992-1996), Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine (1996-2001).
The book “The Quintessence of the Vietnamese Revolution” is nearly 800 pages long, consisting of 3 main parts. Part I includes 50 articles on the Party’s guidelines and policies, legal policies, Ho Chi Minh’s thought, building a rule-of-law state and the path to socialism.
Part II is 32 articles about portraits of leaders and leaders, from President Ho Chi Minh, General Secretary Le Duan, General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong to President Ton Duc Thang and Mr. Le Duc Tho.
Part III includes 30 articles in various genres such as reportage, essays, and commentary, reflecting the implementation of the Party's policies and the role of the press.
One of the outstanding articles in the book is "Three times catching up with the middle peasants", written about Dai Phong Cooperative, which received a letter of praise from President Ho Chi Minh.

Journalist Ha Dang shared that the first article in the book was written in 1955, when he first started working at Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the most recent article was in July 2024 in Communist Magazine. He said that although journalism was not the only job during his career, this was the field he was attached to for the longest time and felt most passionate about.
