Long Thanh airport passenger terminal expected to start construction in August

On the morning of July 6, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc inspected the compensation and site clearance work of Long Thanh airport project; 2 connecting roads to the airport (T1, T2) and the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area. Afterwards, Mr. Vo Tan Duc had a working session with ACV.

Long Thanh Airport Passenger Terminal Project Expected to Start Construction in August 2023

At the meeting, ACV said that the unit has opened bidding for the construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment package and will conduct the bidding and contractor selection in July. Construction is expected to start in August 2023. Other items such as runways and aircraft parking areas will also start construction simultaneously in August - September 2023.

ACV also proposed that the People's Committee of Long Thanh District promptly hand over the land for two routes connecting the airport, especially route T1, to serve the construction of important items of the airport.

Meanwhile, the leader of Long Thanh District People's Committee informed that the site clearance for Long Thanh airport phase 1 has been basically completed. For the 2 connecting routes, more than 60% of the site has been handed over for route T1. Route T2 is coordinating with relevant sectors and localities to clear the site.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc requested Long Thanh District People's Committee to urgently complete site clearance for the remaining cases in the phase 1 area and the remaining 5,000 hectares of the project. Mr. Vo Tan Duc also requested Long Thanh District to strive to complete and hand over the entire T1 route site in July 2023.
