NORTH JAPAN
The project has a capacity of 20 million passengers per year; includes 1 basement, 4 floors above ground, total area of 112,000 m2 ; total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND, with ACV as the investor.
According to the report of the Ministry of Transport and the investor, the project has completed the site clearance of more than 16 hectares according to the Government's resolution on removing obstacles in handing over defense land for the project.
The joint venture has mobilized over 400 vehicles, machines, equipment and 1,400 workers to simultaneously carry out work at the construction site. The overall progress of the project is basically on schedule, with some aspects exceeding the schedule.
However, some items need to be accelerated. The total value of payments and advances from the beginning of the project to date is more than VND 2,390 billion (22%).
During the field inspection, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the results achieved after 6 months of starting construction of the station (August 31, 2023). The project is gradually taking shape, construction has reached the 3rd floor; the equipment has signed a procurement contract; the connecting road invested by Ho Chi Minh City is also basically formed.
In particular, workers on the construction site were very excited and happy to work through Tet, as well as on many key projects across the country, in accordance with the Government's directive of "only working, no retreat", "overcoming the sun and rain", working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, "eating quickly, sleeping urgently"...
ACV commits to completing the project on April 30, 2025 as requested by the Prime Minister.
NORTH JAPAN
The Prime Minister requested to be more determined, make greater efforts, shorten the construction time, strive to complete and put the project into use in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 2025).
Accordingly, it is necessary to rebuild the progress critical path in terms of both construction and procurement, equipment installation, launch emulation movements and motivate workers and laborers.
The Ministry of Construction and consulting and supervising units continue to inspect, supervise and control quality. Ho Chi Minh City must closely monitor and strengthen direction to complete and speed up the progress of the connecting road.
For items in the station related to security, immigration, customs, etc., the ministries and branches in charge of each field must actively implement so that when the project is completed, the assigned tasks can be immediately implemented.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to build a modern airport, promote digital transformation, and make it most convenient for tourists, and suggested some additional contents such as the project must have more aesthetic highlights, more trees, more flowers, etc.
Agencies should strengthen inspection, supervision, prevention and fight against corruption, negativity and waste. At the same time, further research should be done on traffic connection plans from Tan Son Nhat to the outside, especially the connection between Tan Son Nhat and Long Thanh airport.
