The first network operator in Vietnam to deploy SIM activation feature via VNeID

In an announcement released on the afternoon of October 31,FPT mobile network said that it has officially become the first network operator in Vietnam to deploy the process of activating SIM cards through identity authentication using the national electronic identification account (VNeID).

This is an important step in the journey to promote digital transformation applications according to the Government 's orientation, while contributing to standardizing mobile subscribers and preventing the situation of junk SIMs in the market.

Accordingly, customers can activate their own FPT SIM directly on the FPT Shop application with detailed instructions and guaranteed accuracy. Specifically, users log in to the FPT Shop application, select "Activate SIM" then choose to activate with an electronic identification account - VNeID to verify identification information.

The FPT Shop application will automatically link with the VNeID application to authenticate data and complete the activation registration. The entire activation process is absolutely secure, and the subscriber will be confirmed as the owner immediately after completing the registration steps.

Through the VNeID level 2 account authentication process managed by the Ministry of Public Security , customers are guaranteed accurate identity verification. FPT Shop always strictly complies with State regulations on security and safety of personal information throughout the process of data integration and storage.

By applying identity authentication using VNeID, customers can proactively carry out the entire registration and activation process of FPT SIM online, saving time and without having to go to the store or bring a hard copy of their ID card.

This form of authentication also eliminates the risk of document forgery, because user information has been identified and authenticated by the State management agency. This is one of the steps demonstrating FPT Shop's determination to improve customer experience and build a more transparent and secure telecommunications environment.
