How much prize money will the champion of the National Golf Championship

The two 2024 National Golf Champions Le Chuc An and Nguyen Duc Son did not receive the prize because they are still in amateur status.

According to the tournament rules, amateur athletes will not receive prize money. Professional athletes in the next positions will be promoted to receive the empty prize money due to the amateur athlete ranked above them.

In addition, amateur athletes who pass the cut will have their entry fee refunded (this fee is taken from the Prize Fund). In case there are not enough professional athletes to receive the prize according to the prize structure, the remaining prize money will be divided equally among the professional athletes who receive the prize.

Specifically, the male champion of the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 will receive 180 million VND, equivalent to 18% of the total prize fund of 1 billion VND of the male category. Meanwhile, the winner of the female category will receive 60 million VND, equivalent to 30% of the total prize fund of 200 million VND of the female category.

In addition to the prize money, the three athletes with the best results in each group will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals by the Department of Sports and Physical Training.

The National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 will take place from August 18 to August 23 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon, gathering 150 of the best golfers in the country, including professional golfers of Vietnamese nationality and amateur athletes with a handicap index no higher than 5.0 (men) and 10.0 (women).

The players will compete in a 4-round stroke play format, each round consisting of 18 holes (72 holes in total). After the first 36 holes, the organizers will make the cut, selecting the 50 best male golfers and 12 best female golfers for the final two rounds. The winner is the golfer with the lowest gross score after 4 rounds.
