The Hanoi Department of Health coordinated with the Hanoi Health Trade Union to organize voluntary blood donation campaigns with the messages: "Donate blood - give life"; "Each drop of blood given - a life remains". Thereby, doctors, medical staff of 41 public hospitals, 35 specialized centers and 30 medical centers in districts, towns and cities participated in humanitarian blood donation, with 1,635 units of blood received for treatment of patients. Some hospitals proactively coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize voluntary blood donation at Saint Paul General Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, and Hanoi Oncology Hospital.

In 2024, Hanoi will continue to maintain 3 fixed voluntary blood collection points at medical centers in the districts: Hoan Kiem, Thanh Xuan and Dong Da. The Hanoi Department of Health will continue to direct units in the industry to promote propaganda and mobilize voluntary blood donation to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire industry, increasing the number of blood units received compared to 2023 (expected to increase by 10%).
