Picked up 500 million VND, a civil servant reported to the authorities to find the person who left it behind.

A civil servant who is a Raglai ethnic group working in a mountainous commune in Khanh Hoa accidentally picked up a bag of half a billion dong that someone had left in a desk drawer in a conference hall. The male civil servant urgently reported it to local leaders.

Speaking with CAND Newspaper reporters this morning (October 30), Mr. Pham Ngoc Hai, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tay Khanh Son Commune ( Khanh Hoa ), confirmed that a civil servant in this commune picked up a bag of money containing 500 million VND and promptly reported it to local leaders to search for it and return it to the person who left it behind.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. on October 29, Mr. Bo Bo Thuat, Raglai ethnic group (born in 1988), a specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Khanh Son commune, went to a hall of this organization to participate in preparations for a local union conference.

Mr. Bo Bo Thuat returned the 500 million VND he found to the representative of the working group that he had forgotten.

While rearranging the tables and chairs, Mr. Thuat accidentally discovered someone's wallet in a drawer, so he reported it to the local leaders. Through verification, it was known that on the morning of the same day, a working group of a unit in Khanh Hoa province used the hall to receive people and resolve compensation for nearly 70 cases whose land and crops had to be cleared to serve the construction of a traffic road from National Highway 27C to Provincial Road 656, connecting Khanh Hoa - Lam Dong . Considering that the working group had most likely forgotten the wallet mentioned above, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Khanh Son commune urgently contacted the relevant unit to assign staff to receive 500 million VND from Mr. Thuat.

It is known that Mr. Bo Bo Thuat has held the position of Secretary of the Youth Union of Son Hiep commune, Khanh Son district for many years. When implementing the two-level local government model, Mr. Thuat was transferred to work as a specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Khanh Son commune.
