Many trees and seedlings belonging to production support projects in Muong Cha died.

Specifically, during a field inspection of the deer breeding project in Muong Muon 1 and Muong Muon 2 villages (in Muong Muon commune), Dien Bien Provincial Inspectorate recorded a high death rate of breeding deer, with detailed figures: group 1 had 11/24 dead deer; group 2 had 18/30 dead deer; group 3 had 10/21 dead deer.

Similarly, a field inspection at the Purple Cardamom Planting Project in Huoi Xuan village (group 1), Na Sang commune, including the families: Ho A Ly, Ly A The, Giang A Chung, Vu A Chua, found that the planting density was not in accordance with the technical design (in reality, 3-4 trees were planted/hole while the technical design was 1 tree/hole).

With the project of planting and caring for red-fleshed and red-fiber jackfruit trees in Residential Groups 1 and 2 of Muong Cha town, the inspection team clearly saw a high rate of dead seedlings.

Also from field inspections of production support projects, Dien Bien Provincial Inspectorate pointed out that the contracts between the Commune People's Committee and the community and between the community and the contractor did not strictly ensure the terms of acceptance, payment, responsibility for quality and quantity supervision; and did not stipulate sanctions for violations.

Dien Bien Provincial Inspectorate requested the Chairman of Muong Cha District People's Committee to focus on directing and rectifying the implementation of National Target Programs, especially projects supporting production development; at the same time, requested Muong Cha District to review and correct errors in the records and contracts signed between the Commune People's Committee and the community, between the community and contractors supplying plant varieties and materials, ensuring strict and clear acceptance and payment terms.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and regular supervision of the implementation of plant and animal care by households participating in the project to promptly detect, correct and handle existing problems and limit their occurrence.
