Milestones on the 60-year journey of Thai Nguyen Newspaper

In the early days of its establishment (August 25, 1962), Thai Nguyen Newspaper had only 4 reporters who were propaganda officers from various units working for the newspaper. In July 1965, Thai Nguyen province merged with Bac Kan province to form Bac Thai province. The two newspapers of the Party Committees of the two provinces were also merged to form Bac Thai Newspaper. In January 1997, along with the separation of Bac Thai province into Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces, Thai Nguyen Newspaper was re-established.

Looking back over the past 60 years, Thai Nguyen Newspaper has continuously developed in both quality and quantity. When it was first established, the Editorial Office had only 4 staff and reporters, and now it has increased to 75 people. From a Party cell with 7 members, it has now developed into a Party Committee with more than 60 members operating in 7 affiliated Party cells. From having no printing house, the Newspaper now has a spacious printing house that has been operating stably for over 20 years, meeting the closed newspaper production process at the Editorial Office.

Initially, the printed newspaper was published once a week, and now it has become a daily newspaper. In addition to the printed newspaper, the editorial board focuses on developing the electronic newspaper, updated 24/7 in 4 languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese and Korean. From 4 to 5 columns when it was first established, the newspaper has now regularly maintained over 40 columns...

Thai Nguyen e-newspaper has made great strides in both content and transmission methods. The interface of the newspaper is regularly changed in a modern direction and in line with the development of the national press. The content is increasingly rich and diverse based on writing that is "correct, accurate, fast, attractive, and oriented" and shared strongly on social networking platforms.

The Editorial Board advocates developing human resources in the direction of enhancing quality through training to improve professional qualifications, skills, information technology, and foreign languages; focusing on developing a team of collaborators and informants; increasing investment in technology and equipment to serve operations and publish press publications.

With the achievements and contributions of generations of cadres, civil servants and workers over the past 60 years, Thai Nguyen Newspaper has been honored to receive the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals from the Party and State; and many Certificates of Merit, Excellent Emulation Flags and many other noble awards from the Government , Central ministries, branches and Thai Nguyen province.

On the upcoming development path, Thai Nguyen Newspaper will continue to adhere to its principles, purposes, functions and tasks, focusing on the best and most effective propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; continue to innovate according to the trend of modern press development; improve the quality of publications, build Thai Nguyen Newspaper into a multimedia, multi-platform media agency, meeting the requirements of leadership, direction and operation of Party committees and authorities at all levels and the expectations of the press public.
