Many real estate stocks break out, VN-Index increases by nearly 8 points

NDO - On May 21, many industry groups traded differently, causing the main index to fluctuate slightly around the reference level in the morning session. In the afternoon session, the real estate group broke out and the banking group turned green, helping the VN-Index consolidate its upward momentum. At the end of the session, the VN-Index increased by 7.9 points to 1,323.05 points.

In this session, stocks that had a positive impact on the VN-Index included: VHM, VIC, HVN, STB, VPB, GEX, NVL, MSL, MBB, VCG with an increase of more than 10.73 points. On the contrary, the codes: VPL, GVR, FPT , LPB, VNM, BSR, MWG, PNJ, GAS, FRT were sold heavily, taking away more than 2.42 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 23,230.69 billion.

Foreign investors net bought approximately 480 billion VND on the HoSE. On the selling side, FPT shares were sold the most (123 billion VND), followed by VIC (94 billion VND), VRE (75 billion VND),... On the contrary, STB shares were bought the most (354 billion VND), followed by ETF fund certificates FUEVFVND (324 billion VND), VHM (152 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group closed with 13 stocks increasing, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

Of which, VHM increased to the ceiling price of 67,300 VND/share, STB increased by 5.82% to 41,800 VND/share, VIC increased by 2.19%, MSN and PLX both increased by 1.44%, VPB increased by 1.37%, BVH increased by 1.21%, SHB increased by 1.12%.

Codes: ACB , BCM, HDB, HPG, MBB increased slightly.

Five codes stopped at reference: BID, TPB, VCB, VIB, VJC.

In the opposite direction, GVR decreased by 1.44%, LPB decreased by 1.21%.

The remaining codes: CTG, FPT, GAS, MWG, SAB, SSB, SSI, TCB, VNM, VRE decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, real estate stocks led by pillar codes such as VHM and VIC unexpectedly improved, closing the session up 2.35%, the highest increase in the market. In addition, strong gainers also included: NVL hit the ceiling price of VND12,650/share, TEG increased to the limit, DTA increased by 5.09%, HDG increased by 3.27%, LHG increased by 3.06%, VRC increased by 3.5%.

Banking stocks traded in the red in the morning session but recovered in the afternoon session and closed up 0.34%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB increased by 1.76%, MSB, NAB stopped at reference, OCB decreased slightly.

Steel stocks only had a few light green colors such as: HPG, HSG, VCA, the rest were submerged in red. Of which, SMC decreased by 1.89%, TLH decreased by 1.25%, DTL, HMC, NKG decreased slightly.

The group of securities stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 0.11%. Besides SSI mentioned above, ORS decreased by 2.28%, VDS decreased by 1.67%, AGR, BSI, CTS, DSC, FTS, HCM, TCI, TVS decreased slightly. On the contrary, APG increased by 2.12%, VND increased by 1.65%, TVB, VCI, VIX increased slightly, DSE stopped at reference.

Stock sectors such as transportation increased by 2.21%, consumer goods and decoration increased by 1.24%, insurance, raw materials, production materials, food, beverages and tobacco increased slightly.

On the other hand, consumer services decreased by 1.43%, telecommunications decreased by 1.41%, energy decreased by 1.24%, distribution and retail of durable goods, utilities, and software decreased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index maintained green throughout the session today, VNXALL-Index closed up 12.13 points (+0.56%), to 2,173.86 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached 1.021 billion units, equivalent to trading value of VND 24,679.55 billion. In the whole market, there were 166 stocks increasing in price, 87 stocks remaining unchanged and 210 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 217.46 points, down 0.24 points (-0.11%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 68.53 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND1,029,160 billion. The entire floor had 65 stocks increasing, 64 stocks remaining unchanged and 87 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 1.78 points (-0.41%) to 431.03 points. Trading volume reached about 39.97 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND750.718 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 6 stocks increasing, 7 stocks remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 96.27 points, up 0.58 points (+0.61%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 49.53 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than VND 518,561 billion. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 150 stocks increasing, 85 stocks remaining unchanged and 124 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 7.9 points (+0.60%) at 1,323.05 points. Liquidity reached over 1.058 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND24,929.33 billion. The entire floor had 137 stocks increasing, 46 stocks remaining unchanged and 183 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 11.84 points (+0.84%) to 1,419.36 points. Liquidity reached over 452.91 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND13,860.64 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 13 stocks increasing, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 78.34 million units), VPB (over 68.30 million units), VIX (over 49.41 million units), STB (over 39.10 million units), NVL (over 36.23 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were VHM (7.00%), YBM (6.98%), TEG (6.97%), HAH (6.95%), CMV (6.94%).

The five stocks with the biggest price declines were BCG (-6.97%), TCD (-6.75%), MDG (-6.43%), S4A (-5.26%), SC5 (-4.50%).

* Today, derivative securities had 187,937 contracts traded, worth VND 26,581.87 billion.
