Many key projects have large implementation volume

According to the Provincial Statistics, the total capital investment in basic construction implemented under the state capital plan managed by the locality in the third quarter reached 4,163 billion VND, an increase of 28.83% over the previous quarter and an increase of 35.12% over the same quarter last year.

Up to now, the total investment capital for basic construction has reached 10,159 billion VND, reaching 49.49% of the assigned capital plan, up 31.5% over the same period.

Although the volume of investment capital in the first 9 months increased compared to the same period, the implementation rate compared to the plan is still low.

The main reasons are that compensation and site clearance at some state budget projects are still slow; sand for filling is scarce; construction material prices are high; at the same time, prices of many key agricultural products of the province (durian, jackfruit, oranges, etc.) have decreased sharply, affecting people's income and project implementation progress.

Also according to the Provincial Statistics, key projects with large implementation volume in 9 months include: Urban Development Project and Enhancement of Climate Change Adaptation in Vinh Long City; Vinh Long Bus Station Project (Phase 1); Road Project from National Highway 54 to Binh Minh Industrial Park; Ring Road 1 of Vung Liem District; Tra Vinh Provincial Political-Administrative Center Route; Upgrading and expanding the road leading to Dinh An general wharf area; Investing in the construction of the dyke system south of Tra Cu canal; Investing in upgrading and expanding Duyen Hai Town Medical Center; Purchasing medical equipment for Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital; Investing in infrastructure for high-tech shrimp farming area in Binh Dai District; Lac Dia Freshwater Reservoir; Construction of Ba Lai 8 Bridge on the coastal road of Ben Tre Province;... (list of works and projects is kept unchanged according to the old administrative unit to ensure compliance with approved legal documents and investment plans).
