According to Vice Chairman of the Go Cong Tay District Labor Federation Chau Thanh Nhang, in 2025, the Go Cong Tay District Labor Federation will continue to promote its role as a trusted companion of union members and workers. Determining that caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers is an important and regular task, the District Labor Federation has directed grassroots unions to carry out many practical activities.

Specifically, the District Labor Federation has issued a plan to direct and guide its subordinate unions to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".

According to reports from affiliated trade unions, although enterprises in the district are still facing difficulties due to the impact of the world economy, most enterprises have implemented good salary and bonus policies for employees during Tet, so employees feel secure working during the days before Tet.

At the same time, the district's trade unions organized cultural and artistic activities, meetings "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating Spring"... suitable to the actual situation at agencies, units and enterprises, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere before returning home to celebrate Tet with their families.

Unions at all levels in the district organize many practical activities to contribute to improving the quality of life of employees.

In addition, the Trade Unions coordinated with the leaders of agencies, units, authorities at the same level and employers to organize subsidies, visits and gifts for 278 Union members and employees with the amount of 83 million VND; support for 33 cases with the amount of more than 49 million VND; support unsecured loans for 31 employees with the amount of 930 million VND.

Mobilize employees to contribute to social funds such as: "For the poor", "Child protection", "Repaying gratitude"... with the amount of more than 974 million VND. At the same time, continue to effectively implement the program "Welfare for union members"; continue to implement the housing program "Union shelter" for union members facing housing difficulties...

Not only that, the District Labor Federation constantly innovates the content, methods and improves the quality of activities of the Trade Union organization and the team of Trade Union officials. Currently, the district has 89 Trade Unions, with 3,284 Union members - employees. The District Labor Federation regularly directs the Trade Unions to pay attention to implementing the work of developing Union members, thereby, in the first 3 months of 2025, 14 new union members were developed.

The work of developing the Party among Party members and workers has also been paid attention by the District Labor Federation. Accordingly, the grassroots trade unions have participated in training and introducing 23 outstanding Party members for the Party to consider and admit, and 15 comrades have been admitted to the Party. In particular, focusing on implementing Project 03 dated December 28, 2018 of the Provincial Party Committee on strengthening the work of building Party organizations and developing Party members in non-state enterprises, in the first quarter of 2025, introducing Party awareness classes for 3 workers, bringing the total number of Party members since the implementation of Project 03 to 9 comrades.

Along with that, the Trade Unions at all levels in the district have stepped up propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies; policies and laws of the State, directive documents of the Provincial Party Committee, Trade Union organizations; propagated and posted on Zalo, Facebook, website, information boards of the unit policies to support union members and workers...

In order to raise awareness of union members and employees about legal regulations, the District Labor Federation has consulted 15 union members and employees, including 8 cases at the District Labor Federation; 7 cases by phone; the main consultation content is about regulations related to social insurance, accident insurance, maternity, leave, salary, signing and implementation of labor contracts, overtime work, etc.

Thereby, helping employees understand the provisions of the law, have better awareness of implementation, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

CONTINUE TO IMPROVE QUALITY

According to the District Labor Federation, in the coming time, the Go Cong Tay District Labor Federation will continue to propagate and disseminate to union members and workers the Party's guidelines, policies and resolutions; policies and laws of the State and the Trade Union; propagate holidays, anniversaries, and important historical events of the country and nation - especially the activities of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene. Organize practical activities to better care for the material and spiritual lives of workers in difficult circumstances, especially during Workers' Month.

Organize visits to workers who have suffered serious work-related accidents, and present Trade Union Shelters. Continue to launch patriotic emulation movements among workers such as: "Good workers", "Creative workers", "Promoting initiatives and technical improvements" among workers, associated with continuing to promote "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", "Innovation, creativity and efficiency in trade union activities", "Good advice - Good service"...

Recently, speaking at the Conference to review the activities of the District Labor Federation in the first quarter of 2025, outlining directions and tasks for the second quarter of 2025, Provincial Party Committee member and Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Labor Federation Le Minh Hung highly appreciated the efforts of the Trade Unions at all levels in the district in organizing and implementing activities to take good care of the lives of workers and employees, promoting the role of a reliable support and bridge between Union members and employees with local agencies, units and enterprises. Thereby, creating a favorable environment for Union members and employees to feel secure in their work, labor, production and contribute to the development of the locality.

At the same time, he also requested that all levels of the district's trade unions continue to promote propaganda and mobilization so that workers can raise their awareness, voluntarily participate in trade union organizations, actively launch emulation movements to improve labor productivity and product quality, actively promote initiatives, improve techniques, promote combined strength, contribute to building increasingly developed agencies, units and enterprises, and build trade union organizations to become a solid support for union members and workers.
