This is one of the important spiritual rituals within the framework of the United Nations Vesak 2025.

The event attracted about 12,000 attendees, with 35,000 lanterns lit, creating a magical, shimmering space.

The festival begins with a meditation ritual around the lake and chanting prayers led by monks and nuns.

At Minh Chau Lecture Hall, monks, nuns and Buddhists lit the flower lanterns in their hands.

The flower lantern symbolizes the light of Buddhist wisdom, dispelling ignorance and guiding people to the path of goodness.

Each lantern is lit, each person prays to send into it a good thought, a peaceful thought for themselves and for everyone.

Each lamp in hand is a symbol of light that erases all suffering, together building a beautiful life.

This is not only a sacred occasion for monks, nuns and Buddhists but also a symbol of the spirit of peace and compassion spreading throughout the community.

Thousands of lotus lanterns are gently released into the calm lake to the sound of deep bells and spreading prayers.

Nearly 12,000 people with bright lanterns at Lang Le Cultural Park participated in the lantern releasing ceremony.

Thousands of people pray together for national peace and prosperity, for humanity to overcome turmoil and suffering.
