Many activities to celebrate the United Nations Vesak Day 2025

The main message of the United Nations Day of Vesak in Vietnam this time is: Solidarity and tolerance for human dignity: Buddhist wisdom for world peace and sustainable development.

Previously, from May 3, many activities related to the United Nations Vesak Day took place in Vietnam, including monks, nuns, Buddhists, and people visiting to worship the Buddha's relics escorted from India to Thanh Tam Pagoda (Phat Co Don Pagoda, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) from May 3.

According to Venerable Thich Hue Khai, Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, in response to the Vesak 2025, Buddhist calendar 2569, Dong Nai Buddhism will organize a delegation of monks, nuns, and Buddhists to participate in activities held in the program in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, with the facilitation of local authorities, Dong Nai Buddhism will organize many activities to celebrate this event, such as: flower float parade of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in districts and cities in the locality; flower float parade from the headquarters of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province (Bien Hoa city) to Quoc An Khai Tuong pagoda (Long Thanh district); vegetarian cuisine ; giving gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution; supporting necessities for poor households, near-poor families, and students overcoming difficulties, etc.
