Assign 3 sets of proposed solutions to handle Dong Nai's petition regarding the land area of ​​more than 81 hectares for resettlement of Long Thanh Airport Project

In the official dispatch, considering the proposal of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee on the policy of allocating land in subdivision III, Binh Son Resettlement Area, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies to study and propose solutions to handle the proposal of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, and report to the Prime Minister before May 25, 2025.

Previously, on April 25, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 4840/UBND-KTN to the Prime Minister on the policy of requesting to hand over the land in subdivision III, Binh Son Resettlement Area under the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project of Long Thanh Airport. In which, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Prime Minister report to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration and approval of the policy of reducing and not implementing investment in the area of ​​more than 81 hectares in subdivision III, Binh Son Resettlement Area and removing it from the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project of Long Thanh Airport. At the same time, it approved the assignment of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to retain this land (which has been compensated) for socio -economic development according to the local planning.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in the decision approving the feasibility study report of the Long Thanh Airport Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project, the Prime Minister assigned Dong Nai to carry out the land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement work to have a clean site to hand over to the investor of the Long Thanh Airport Construction Investment Project of 5,000 hectares and to implement the construction of 2 resettlement areas including: Loc An - Binh Son (area of ​​more than 282 hectares); Sub-zone III, Binh Son Resettlement Area (area of ​​more than 81 hectares).

However, during the implementation process, households previously registered for resettlement in Sub-area III, Binh Son Resettlement Area wished to be transferred to Loc An - Binh Son Resettlement Area. Realizing that the needs and desires of the households were legitimate, the Provincial People's Committee reviewed the area and adjusted the planning of Loc An - Binh Son Resettlement Area to accommodate resettlement for all households in the Long Thanh Airport Project area as well as 2 connecting traffic routes (T1, T2).

In 2024, Dong Nai province completed compensation and site clearance to hand over the entire site of Long Thanh Airport Project and 2 connecting traffic routes to the investor. At the same time, it completed resettlement arrangements for affected households in Loc An - Binh Son Resettlement Area.

Also in this document, the Provincial People's Committee said that for the cost of about 46 billion VND to implement compensation for the land in subdivision III, Binh Son Resettlement Area, Dong Nai province committed to using the provincial budget to repay the central budget according to regulations.
