Members and businesses in the province participate in the training conference.
Currently, Vietnam participates in 17 free trade agreements (FTAs). These agreements help Vietnamese enterprises expand their markets as well as take advantage of tax incentives. However, to effectively take advantage of the agreements, enterprises must obtain a certificate of origin (C/O), issued by a competent authority to prove the origin of the goods in order to be exempted from import tax.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Cashew Association Vu Thai Son said that many Binh Phuoc enterprises have participated in cashew nut import and export activities to international markets. Therefore, declaring the name of goods and origin to apply for C/O is very necessary. If business owners and import-export staff do not follow the correct procedures, it will cause huge losses.
