Many activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hanoi's Old Quarter being recognized as a National Historical Site

On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2024), the 20th anniversary of Hanoi Old Quarter being recognized as a National Historical Site (2004-2024), the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter organized 20 unique cultural and artistic activities and events to serve the public.
The series of activities aims to introduce to the public some cultural heritage values, thereby calling on the community to join hands with the government in protecting and promoting heritage values, in conjunction with the orientation of developing the cultural industry. The activities take place from November 8 to December 15; in particular, many attractive activities will take place this weekend (November 23-24).

Some outstanding performances in the series of commemorative programs include: Exhibition programs, art performances and experiential activities, introducing Craft Villages - Craft Streets: Bat Trang pottery, Dinh Cong silver beans, My Duc embroidery, Chuong village hats, Phung Xa silk, Old Quarter green rice; traditional - contemporary heritage concert; art performance "Story of That"; real-life tour program "Story of Hang Street" ...

In addition, there are outstanding exhibitions and displays such as: Exhibition of the space of the ancient Hanoian family practicing Oriental medicine, with the theme "Stories of Hang Street" (Heritage House No. 87 Ma May Street); exhibition with the theme "Dong Ta" introducing the history and culture of Dong Son, about the bronze casting and crafting profession of the Vietnamese people from ancient times to the present day (Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center, No. 50, Dao Duy Tu Street); exhibition introducing the achievements of 20 years of Hanoi Old Quarter receiving the certificate of national historical relic...
