The Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has just issued an official plan to launch a propaganda campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
With the spirit of innovation and creativity, this year's plan is meticulously invested, with many breakthrough highlights, especially the application of digital technology to bring history closer to young people.
Notably, the launch of the virtual reality (VR) experience space "Proud of Vietnam 360" will allow young people across the country to use personal VR devices to "return" to the heroic atmosphere of 1945 and directly "participate" in the historical events that led to the victory of the August Revolution. This is considered an impressive technological advance, promising to bring an unprecedented visual and engaging approach to history.
In addition, the multi-platform communication campaign "Proud of Vietnam" will be launched strongly on cyberspace from August 10 to September 5, 2025. The Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union calls on cadres, union members, youth and people to simultaneously change their profile pictures and cover photos on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok with a unified identity.
The campaign also encourages users to post content, images, and videos expressing pride in the national flag and the achievements of the country and locality with the official hashtag #TuHaoVietNam.
Not only bustling on the internet, many large-scale events will be held. The series of community art programs Vietnam Pride Tour will roll through 10 provinces and cities from August 20 to September 2, 2025, bringing heroic melodies and special performances by generations of famous artists, serving the masses. This is an opportunity for young people to immerse themselves in the artistic atmosphere imbued with national identity, while spreading love for the homeland.
In particular, on August 16, 2025, the "Aspiration for the Country" Festival will be held nationwide. On this day, Youth Union chapters at all levels will carry out many meaningful activities such as meeting historical witnesses, exchanging and rekindling traditions, organizing journeys to the source, gratitude activities, taking care of families with meritorious services, and launching volunteer teams to support the community.
In addition, the Vietnam Youth Union organized the "I love my Fatherland" Journey with 3 stages, presenting at least 80,000 national flags and 80,000 photos of Uncle Ho, and organizing flag salutes at historical sites and the extreme points of the Fatherland.
The Vietnam Student Association will bring a unique art space to Hanoi with the program "Coordinates of Pride", including art installation spaces, displaying creative works of students and interactive activities such as painting the Million Colors of Freedom mural, designing My Imprint of Freedom flower stamps.
Along with that, Kim Dong Publishing House will release many valuable books about Uncle Ho, leaders and national history.
