Many products are made from cheap ingredients such as: Agar powder, egg whites or mixed with additives that do not meet safety standards. More worryingly, some canned and bottled bird's nest products also imitate the designs and names of reputable brands such as: Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest, Sanest, Sanvinest... causing confusion for consumers. "From the beginning of 2025 to now, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Company has discovered more than 30 units using similar product names, ingredients and images or copying the company's brand. Many fake websites containing the phrase "yensaokhanhhoa" have also been discovered" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai informed.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai added that online channels and e-commerce platforms have become hot spots for distributing poor quality products. Due to loose verification of sellers, many consumers have bought fake products with no nutritional value. The General Director of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company requested that the authorities strengthen regular and surprise inspections and checks at facilities producing and processing bird's nest products. At the same time, complete the legal framework related to quality declaration, traceability and product labeling. Strict handling of violations is a prerequisite to protect consumer rights and maintain the reputation of the Vietnamese bird's nest industry in the domestic and international markets.
