The Wedding Bridge officially opened
After many days of waiting, the Kissing Bridge - an artistic masterpiece designed by famous Italian designer Marco Casamonti has officially welcomed visitors since December 23, promising to become the most attractive destination on the pearl island.
The Kissing Bridge has a total length of 800m, consisting of two branches, the North and the South, merging into a unified whole but not touching, but 30cm apart, just right for a hug, a handshake or a kiss. This distance is meticulously calculated, so that on January 1st every year, the sunset will fall right in the middle of the two bridgeheads, making this place one of the “most beautiful sunset viewing spots in the world ”.

The Kissing Bridge has a conson span (a horizontal bridge structure, fixed at one end and free at the other) of up to 25m, on a 65-degree inclined pillar. The total weight of the conson structure on each side is up to 400 tons, equivalent to compressing 40 buses and hanging precariously in the middle of the sea by 2 inclined pillars. With this inclined pillar structure, the Kissing Bridge has created an unprecedented thing in the precedent of a pedestrian bridge on the sea, bringing Phu Quoc and Vietnam tourism a unique symbol.

Designed as a sculpture on the sea surface, the Kissing Bridge surprised the architectural world with its difficulty, as the soft lines like a silk strip stretching out into the sea are also the structure that creates the solidity of the bridge.
With its unprecedented design and structure, the bridge is expected to create a "second Golden Bridge phenomenon" for Vietnam tourism.
