On September 24, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced that due to the impact of super typhoon Ragasa, the graduation ceremony in September 2025 will be postponed to October 4-5, 2025.
According to the original plan, the graduating students of batch 2024.2A and 2024.2B will attend the graduation ceremony at hall C2 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology on September 27-28.
The school also hopes that graduating students of batch 2024.2A and 2024.2B, parents and guests will take note to arrange their time to attend.
For students who live far away and have booked flight tickets and cannot attend the graduation ceremony on October 4-5, the school informs that they can contact the Student Affairs Department for support in receiving their diplomas, documents and taking photos on the afternoon of September 26.

Previously, the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi also announced the cancellation of the new school year welcoming ceremony.
According to the original plan, the school planned to hold a ceremony to welcome the new school year 2025-2026 on the morning of September 25. However, due to the complicated and dangerous developments of super typhoon Ragasa, to ensure absolute safety for all staff, lecturers, students and guests, the school's board of directors decided to cancel the ceremony.
The school said that important activities such as rewarding students and showing gratitude to sponsors and partners will be arranged by the school in the nearest event and specifically announced in the near future.
“We look forward to receiving your understanding and sharing in this unavoidable situation, and hope to continue to receive your valuable companionship in upcoming programs,” the University of Economics stated in the announcement.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, as of 7 p.m. today (September 24), the center of storm No. 9 Ragasa was about 375 km east of Mong Cai ( Quang Ninh ), with the strongest wind speed reduced to level 12 (118 - 133 km/h), gusting to level 15. With this intensity, storm No. 9 has weakened by 5 levels compared to when it reached super typhoon level this morning.
Due to the influence of storm No. 9 Ragasa, tonight, the Gulf of Tonkin sea area will begin to have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then reaching level 8-9, the area near the storm's center may reach level 10-11, gusting to level 13-14.
On land, the key areas affected by storm No. 9 from tonight to tomorrow morning are Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.
Particularly note, from tomorrow Quang Ninh province will have strong winds of level 8-9, gusting to level 10-11; Hai Phong, Lang Son and the East of Bac Ninh will have winds of level 7-8; the Northern Delta region, including Hanoi, will have winds of level 6.
Regarding rain, from tonight Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Hai Phong will start to have rain; in the Northern Delta, including Hanoi, rain will gradually increase from tomorrow noon.
