On the afternoon of October 21, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City issued a document requesting units and schools in the area to urgently deploy plans to prevent and combat storm No. 12, ensuring absolute safety for students, teachers and facilities. Accordingly, many wards such as Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Hoa Cuong, Ngu Hanh Son, An Hai... have announced that preschool children, primary and secondary school students will be off from school from October 22 to cope with the storm.

Schools are required to coordinate with functional forces to proactively brace classrooms, trim trees, check electrical systems, gates, fences, and roofs; and move assets and teaching equipment to safe places. 24/7 on-duty forces are arranged to promptly handle arising situations, minimizing damage to people and property.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training has authorized the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards to decide, based on the actual situation, to let students take time off from school when necessary; at the same time, he has directed vocational training institutions and universities to proactively adjust their school schedules and switch to online teaching in areas affected by landslides and floods.
Immediately after the storm, schools must urgently organize cleaning, clearing, repairing damage, and re-inspecting facilities to welcome students back to school soon, ensuring teaching and learning resumes safely and stably.
