This morning (July 13), in Da Nang City, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Central Region Resident Office organized the "2023 Collaborator Conference" and a number of other journalism activities.

Presenting a report at the conference, Mr. Pham Tan Tu, Director of VOV Central Region Information Agency, said that since the 2019 Collaborators Conference, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and many other reasons, this year the Central Region Information Agency has re-organized this conference.

From 2020 to the end of June 2023, VOV Central will produce nearly 18,000 news and articles for VOV channels, of which the amount of news and articles from collaborators accounts for 10 - 20% each month.

"Over the past 3 years, VOV Central has continued to be one of the units producing many good quality news articles. VOV Central has won many National Press Awards, Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards as well as Central, ministerial and local press awards. This result cannot be achieved without mentioning the role of collaborators," Mr. Tu emphasized.
VOV's network of collaborators is tasked with extending the "Voice of Vietnam" wave from the mountains to the islands.
At the conference, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that Da Nang is one of the major press centers of the country with the presence of more than 100 press agencies. In particular, VOV Central plays a role as one of the key media units in Da Nang City.
"During the process of construction and development, Da Nang has always received the support of VOV. In particular, the media cooperation program between the unit and the city has achieved many positive results," Mr. Ho Ky Minh affirmed.

Within the framework of the conference, there were professional training sessions: skills in making short reports on radio, how to exploit and expand information on electronic newspapers; how to write news and reports for ethnic minorities; writing introductions for radio works and instructions on how to read news and articles on radio; bringing radio products to digital platforms.
On this occasion, VOV Central presented 5 charity houses to poor people in difficult circumstances in Quang Nam , with a total value of 350 million VND.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 12, Mr. Do Tien Sy and representatives of the leaders of agencies and units under VOV came to offer incense and lay wreaths to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the Monument of Heroic Martyrs of Da Nang City. Next, VOV Central presented 50 gifts to the elderly living at the Center for People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution in Da Nang City.
