This year, Binh Tan district has about 390 hectares of watermelon, most of which is concentrated in Tan Hung commune with about 310 hectares, with varieties such as long-fruited melons, seeded melons, red sun, green-skinned melons, yellow-skinned melons, etc. This year, the watermelon yield is about 10% higher than last year, due to favorable weather, beautiful and even fruit, and little loss.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoan - Vice Chairman of Tan Hung Commune People's Committee said that this crop's yield is estimated at 45-50 tons/ha, 5-10% higher than last year, due to favorable weather.
