NTO - Meeting to celebrate the traditional day of the elderly and launch the movement "Elderly Age"

On June 6, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a meeting to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Elderly in Vietnam (June 6, 1941 - June 6, 2023) and launch the movement "Old Age - Bright Example" for the period 2023-2026.

Reviewing the 82nd anniversary of the Vietnam Elderly Traditional Day, the Provincial Elderly Association's Representative Board as well as the Provincial Elderly Association members were excited and proud of the great contributions of generations of elderly people in the cause of national liberation and development of the homeland and the country. Up to now, the provincial association at all levels has been constantly consolidated and expanded with nearly 50,000 members, operating in 395 branches. Through patriotic emulation movements, the elderly in the province have made many practical contributions in all areas of social life, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals, ensuring national defense and security, building the great national unity bloc and a strong political system in the province.

At the meeting, the Provincial Elderly Association launched the "Old Age - Bright Example" movement for the period 2023-2026. In particular, it called on members to continue responding to the contents on: Promoting the role of participating in Party and government building; socio -economic development; maintaining security, order, and social safety; building cultural families, model families; taking care of health, improving the spiritual life of the elderly. On this occasion, the Provincial Elderly Association presented 7 gifts to lonely elderly people in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.
