Captain Tran Thi Thu Trang of Task Force No. 4 has departed for a United Nations peacekeeping mission at the Bor Police Office, Jonglei State, South Sudan since June 23, 2024. She is currently an operations officer at the Bor Police Office, Jonglei State - a hot spot of armed conflict due to the cycle of violence between different ethnic groups. Sharing her pride in joining the Peacekeeping Police unit with the task of the Special Forces (SWAT), Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong affirmed that the youth are always the vanguard force, ready to face challenges and devote themselves to the police work in general and the Special Forces field in particular. In the peacekeeping mission, the youth's strength is not only demonstrated through physical strength and fighting spirit, but also through courage and creativity when performing tasks.
“Joining the Peacekeeping Police Unit No. 1, Ministry of Public Security , I am being trained in the SWAT team with especially dangerous missions such as hostage rescue, capturing terrorists, and dangerous criminals. The soldiers not only bring combat skills but also a humanitarian spirit and responsibility to the community. We not only protect people, suppress threats, but also build trust and support local people to recover after conflicts. I think that my strength is youth, so I want to contribute with the People's Public Security Youth Force in public security work as well as in the peacekeeping mission, so that international friends can better understand the Vietnamese people, about Vietnamese youth who love peace and are ready to contribute for the peace of people around the world", said Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong.

Determining that when participating in the United Nations peacekeeping force, one will have to face dangers in conflict areas... But those difficulties and challenges cannot stop the determination of young officers with the aspiration to contribute and serve the Fatherland, contributing to protecting the peace and independence of the country as well as maintaining peace, stability and security for people around the world.
Regardless of the circumstances or field of work, Vietnamese People's Public Security officers always affirm their bravery, capacity, intelligence and responsibility, which are recognized and highly appreciated by international colleagues.
Currently, Working Groups No. 1 and No. 2 of the Peacekeeping Police Unit of the Ministry of Public Security have completed their missions and returned to Vietnam. Working Groups No. 3 and No. 4 of the Ministry of Public Security are performing UN peacekeeping missions at the UNMISS Mission in South Sudan and the UNISFA Mission (Abyei region) and 1 officer is working at the UN headquarters in New York.
