On the evening of October 27, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , leaders of ASEAN countries and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres attended the 15th ASEAN-United Nations Summit.
At the Conference, ASEAN leaders and the United Nations Secretary-General pledged to continue supporting multilateralism, complying with international law, and promoting a rules-based international order.
Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked ASEAN and the United Nations to effectively implement the Action Plan for the 2026-2030 period, and proposed three cooperation focuses to further deepen bilateral cooperation, including: Promoting effective multilateralism and compliance with international law; building and innovating a governance system adaptable to the new era; ensuring comprehensive social security, putting people at the center of development./.
