Female union president takes care of workers' lives

On the occasion of honoring 10 outstanding female union members in 2025, we had the opportunity to meet Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Grassroots Union of Asia Italian Door Technology Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City), who has been involved in grassroots union activities for 20 years and has many initiatives, as well as recommendations for policies to care for union members and workers.

Propose more benefits for union members

As Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union, Ms. Le Thi Huong advised the company's board of directors to implement many welfare policies for employees such as union members facing difficulties are supported by the company; on holidays of the year, employees are always rewarded and given lucky money to encourage and motivate...

Notably, in recent years, the Company has had many activities associated with national events, in which Ms. Le Thi Huong has always been the initiator and spreader for union members and workers to carry out together.

On the occasion of the recent April 30 holiday, the Trade Union where Ms. Huong works organized a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. More than 1,000 workers dressed in red shirts with yellow stars solemnly saluted the flag, sang the National Anthem and reviewed the process of resistance for national independence and freedom.

In May 2025, the Trade Union solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. Hundreds of workers wore black pants and white shirts, red scarves, and came to the company earlier than usual with the spirit of children and grandchildren, always following the example of the great Uncle Ho. When implementing these two programs, the Trade Union recommended that the company reward workers from 300,000 to 500,000 VND.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2, the Trade Union organized a flag-raising ceremony, watched a documentary film and formed a picture of the country. Through the activities, it contributed to educating the tradition and arousing the love of the homeland among workers. The Trade Union also proposed that the company reward each union member with 700,000 VND to encourage and motivate workers.

For more than two decades working with the Italian - Asian Door Engineering Company Limited, she has been affectionately called: The woman who holds two shores: National and family affairs. She combines responsibility in work, dedication to family and love for the community.

Ms. Huong is also the one who contributed the initiative to improve her embryo forming machine, which helped double the output, bringing the company more than 1 billion VND in profit. This is a typical initiative in the "1 million initiatives" program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor .

Take care of union meals

Ms. Le Thi Huong is also a union official who ignites the movement and spreads love among the workers where she works. One of the marks of the female union president Le Thi Huong is that since 2024, the Union of the Asia Italian Door Technology Company Limited (Tan Hiep Ward) has organized a typical "Union Meal" under the guidance of the City Labor Federation. This activity has become increasingly widespread, helping to build more stable labor relations in the enterprise.

For over a year now, the Trade Union has organized a “Union Meal” every month, sometimes twice a month. The Trade Union and the company devote their hearts to making quality meals and bringing solidarity and friendship to the company. Before each meal, Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Company Trade Union and the departments discuss and plan the menu for the meal.

Specifically, in October 2025, Ms. Le Thi Huong chaired the organization of a "Mid-Autumn Festival Union Meal" for 1,000 workers. All managers, office staff and the Executive Committee of the Trade Union together made a special meal for the workers. The Trade Union ordered vermicelli, ham, sausage, spring rolls, milk tea and moon cakes. Then, the dishes were arranged in groups and passes.

“Despite the difficulties, I still hope that the workers can have delicious meals to stay healthy. Through this union meal, we will increase sharing and understanding with each other. Let's all do our best to unite and overcome this difficult period,” said Ms. Le Thi Huong.

In addition, in social work and charity, for Ms. Huong, "giving is forever". From quietly raising a child with leukemia, setting up a "zero-dong stall" for disadvantaged workers, to contributing to building village roads, giving bicycles to poor students, wherever there is sharing, there is Ms. Huong's mark. Recently, Ms. Huong has also participated in many social activities such as mobilizing businesses to support 1 billion VND for people affected by storms and floods in 2024, supporting many cases of poor students overcoming difficulties in Tan Uyen...

The image of Ms. Le Thi Huong shows that union officials not only care about policies and regimes, but also sow seeds of love, worthy of being a support for workers.

In 2025, for the first time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor honored 10 outstanding female union members - representing millions of passionate hearts. They are women who dare to think, dare to do, pioneers in continuous innovation and creativity, and outstanding individuals in emulation movements. The core of which is the movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework".
