On the afternoon of December 16th, in Long Son commune (Ho Chi Minh City), the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term held a meeting with voters following the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Attending the conference were Ms. Huynh Thi Phuc, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Tam Hung, former Commander of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Military Command and a member of the 15th National Assembly of Ho Chi Minh City; and representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies.

On the local side, attendees included Mai Ngoc Oanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Long Son Commune Party Committee; Nguyen Trong Thuy, Chairman of the Long Son Commune People's Committee; representatives from the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; leaders of specialized departments and agencies; political and social organizations; Party branch secretaries, village heads, and heads of the Fatherland Front working committees of the 9 villages, along with a large number of voters from Long Son commune.
At the conference, voters heard a report on the results of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly; information on the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation before, during, and after the session; the results of addressing and responding to voters' opinions and recommendations; and also directly submitted their opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly and relevant authorities.

Speaking on behalf of the National Assembly delegation constituency No. 16, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Tam Hung stated that after 40 days of continuous and serious work, with a spirit of innovation and high responsibility, the Tenth Session of the National Assembly has completed its entire agenda. The National Assembly reviewed and passed 51 laws and 8 normative resolutions; summarized the work of the 2021-2026 term of state agencies; decided on personnel matters within its authority; and conducted thematic supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 came into effect.
In addition, the National Assembly discussed and commented on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; considered and decided on many important issues concerning socio-economic development, the state budget, investment policies for national target programs and important national projects, and adjustments to the National Master Plan; and also reviewed reports on judicial work, anti-corruption, crime prevention, and law violations.

At the conference, voters in Long Son commune expressed their enthusiasm for the results of the Tenth Session, while also raising and proposing many practical issues related to planning, land, infrastructure development, transportation, administrative procedures after the merger, education and training, social security, and people's lives. The conference recorded 7 opinions and proposals from voters across various fields including socio-economics, culture, education, health, and civil registration.
In response to voters' opinions, local leaders and relevant units directly discussed and addressed issues within their authority at the meeting. The National Assembly delegation of constituency No. 16 fully received all opinions and suggestions to compile and report to the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, and also forwarded them to the competent authorities for consideration, resolution, and response as prescribed.

Through interactions, voters in Long Son commune expressed their trust in the sense of responsibility and openness of the National Assembly representatives; they also hoped that the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation would continue to closely monitor the resolution of petitions, promptly conveying the voice of the people to the National Assembly and relevant agencies, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management.

Speaking at the conference, voter Dinh Van Chanh expressed his delight at hearing the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation report on the results of the Tenth Session as well as the State's policies and laws. According to him, the discussions at the conference helped voters better understand many of their concerns; he particularly appreciated the open-mindedness of the National Assembly representatives who were willing to engage in further discussions with the people to clarify issues that had not been fully addressed in the meeting hall.
Voter Dinh Van Chanh also stated that, in reality, people still face many difficulties regarding administrative procedures, especially those related to residency. The fact that the commune police force continues to meet with and provide specific guidance to help people complete their applications according to regulations has created a sense of security and trust among the people.
During the Tenth Session, National Assembly delegates from the Ho Chi Minh City delegation actively studied documents, participated in discussions, and contributed 257 opinions in group meetings and 168 opinions in the plenary session, focusing on major and important issues of the country and Ho Chi Minh City. The delegation also proactively coordinated with National Assembly delegations from other provinces and cities to exchange and reach consensus on further improving specific mechanisms and policies in accordance with Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15.
Regarding citizen petitions, from July 1, 2025 to the present, the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation has received 523 complaints and denunciations from citizens; forwarded and followed up on the resolution of 204 petitions; filed 274 petitions that did not meet the requirements for processing; and is currently reviewing and processing 45 petitions, achieving a resolution rate of 91.4%.
Regarding the opinions and suggestions of voters after the 9th Session and before the 10th Session, the Delegation compiled 218 opinions, of which 54 were under the authority of the Central Government and 164 were under the authority of the local government. The remaining issues will continue to be monitored, supervised, and addressed according to regulations.
